Where do you invest your Faith?

We all have faith. The question is, where is your faith invested?

I think we can all agree on some level on the meaning of faith. The Bible offers this definition:

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for,

the conviction of things not seen.

~Hebrews 11:1

Faith is an unwavering trust in something that cannot explicitly be known, seen or explained.

Webster’s dictionary defines it as confidence or trust in a person or thing; belief that is not based on proof; the obligation of loyalty or fidelity to a person, promise, engagement, etc.

I define faith as a wholehearted conviction. It's trust or loyalty in a belief, whether this belief is true or false, based on love or fear.

I'm always making choices. At every single moment I'm ever making a choice. The choice I make is based on my beliefs and what I choose to energize or give life to.

I have two choices: freedom or fear. Am I choosing the freedom to love, be love and be loved? To be spontaneous, joyful, purposeful and intentional? Or am I choosing complacency, to feel caged, stuck and to conform to others’ opinions and expectations without bothering to ask myself what is true for me? How Is this serving me?

Every moment I choose to energize freedom, I make a choice aligned with love and place my faith in my dreams and desires. In becoming a better version of myself with joy, boldness, courage and confidence. When I choose to energize fear I'm in misalignment, placing my faith in fear, complacency, conformity, clinging on to the past or anxiously awaiting the future.

It's not easy to move forward with boldness and courage, confidence and faith when the ‘evidence’ around me seems to ‘prove’ otherwise.

This is where conscious awareness and the ability to choose comes in. I must choose a belief that, although challenging, is bold and empowering and, most importantly, freeing. This is faith. It's to move forward to create the life that I desire, making my dreams come true, with audacity and fierceness, regardless of the circumstances.

Here are a few key steps to invest your faith in freedom:

*Awareness- become aware of your choices, become the observer of your own life. It takes awareness to know that I want something to change. Ask yourself: Am I living a fulfilling life that I love?

*Decision- decide that you have a choice and be willing to align and shift your perception to one that will serve you. Ask yourself: What must change? Am I willing to do the work?

*Vision- you've got to know where you desire to go. What does it look like? What do you imagine? How does it feel? Be daring and start dreaming again.

*Practice- be willing to do the work. In order to create a new life, changes have to take place- usually that means stepping out of your comfort zone. It requires courage.

*Support- generally, making changes is not easy. It requires faith, courage, persistence, discipline and taking responsibility. Accountability is one of the most supportive things you can do for yourself. Find the support, assistance and guidance from a coach or mentor who will hold you accountable in loving way.

Your life is your responsibility. It's when you take responsibility for your choices that you create a life by design- not by default or circumstance...

So where is your faith invested? In yourself or in others? In freedom or fear? You choose…
